Job description: Job DescriptionThe AVP, Digital Platforms and Global Capabilities, is a key member of the Global Wealth and Asset Management (GWAM) Digital Experience team, which is part of our Marketing organization. This role will lead our public website experiences globally and build out a suite of global shared capabilities and services.The AVP will report into the VP of Global Digital Experience and be part of the Digital Experience leadership team, working closely with key internal partners across Technology, Data and Marketing. This team is responsible for AEM globally within the GWAM organization and will partner closely with other users of AEM across the enterprise. It is leading a flagship project to redesign and re-architect our websites globally so that they can be managed at scale across GWAM!Key Accountabilities:Strategy & Leadership:
- Lead the consolidation and redesign of our global corporate website and continue to evolve it to ensure it has clear objective and delivers value as part of the overall Manulife digital ecosystem.
- Develop and enhance the GWAM Digital Platform and Shared Capabilities strategy to radically transform and simply our digital experience for customers, financial advisors, and company sponsors, identifying areas of opportunity to drive efficiency and speed-to-market.
- Serve as the GWAM Digital Platforms and Global Capabilities representative, liaising with the rest of the organization to advocate for continuous enhancements, integration, and expansion of digital solutions.
- Influence partners across all organizational levels to drive continuous improvements in our digital platforms and horizontal capabilities, aligning them with the enterprise’s digital and customer ambitions while also reducing operational risk and cost.
- Develop and keep best digital standards in partnership with enterprise teams, including integration standards with third-party partners.
- Drive the strategy and the execution of Manulife Investment Management’s AEM components, the foundation of our digital experience.
- Champion user-centric design, leveraging user feedback from various channels, competitive analysis, and technology trends to facilitate building advisor-centric products.
- Leverage advanced analytics to drive strategic decision-making and uncover actionable insights to optimize business performance.
Product Leadership:
- Lead a growing team (currently 6) product managers and 8 contractors, leading Horizontal Squads, responsible for platforms, global components, digital footprint integration and overall redesign of our global presence to ensure a consistent digital customer experience across geographies and business lines.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to ensure the squads are aligned with overarching digital goals and support the development and sustainment of robust global capabilities.
- Ensure meticulous planning and execution of digital projects to achieve desired outcomes.
- Maintain best-in-class digital standards and operational efficiency.
- Foster a culture of communication and teamwork by effectively collaborating with team members to create and keep alignment.
- Provide strategic direction to Squad Leaders in defining product requirements and prioritizing the product backlog in alignment with the product roadmap and larger organizational goals.
- Foster a high-performance product culture powered by key metrics and analytics to make data-driven decisions to improve user experience and achieve business goals.
- Drive the design and implementation of global capabilities to support business units in all the countries where we operate.
Partnerships & Industry Best Practices:
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and product management best practices.
- Partner with select third parties to augment & accelerate technology development and integrate acquired capabilities.
- Lead experimentation with Fintechs and third-party vendors to accelerate development.
What are we looking for
- 10+ years leading digital product teams, shipping Martech platform implementations and enhancements, in an Agile delivery model. Preference for experience in financial services in B2B, B2B2C and B2C roles.
- Understanding of digital marketing technologies (e.g., content and digital asset management, headless content management). Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is a must. Good working knowledge of Adobe products such as Adobe Target and Adobe Analytics.
- Strong understanding of domain strategy, impact on search engine optimization (SEO), redirects and site linking.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large scale digital transformation programs or complex digital initiatives and managing shared capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to foster collaboration and partnerships effectively with Business and Technology audiences.
- Travel estimated at 10-20%.
