We’re working with a leading insurer to help grow their National Property Technical Team with the addition of a Large Loss Claims Examiner.In this role, you will oversee the management of complex property claims ranging from $250,000 to multi-million dollars. Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience handling commercial and residential property claims.
- Strong understanding of property insurance industry practices, policy wordings, and case law.
- Excellent construction knowledge and ability to interpret technical building estimates.
- Solid digital literacy and comfort working with claims management platforms and reporting tools.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and report writing skills.

The successful candidate will work on both large commercial and personal lines property claims. - Evaluate and manage personal lines and complex commercial claims including builder’s risk claims from initial report to final settlement

Qualifications

- At least 7-10 years of large loss adjusting experience (commercial and residential property claims)
- Solid experience in directly handling complex losses in excess of $250,000, preferably in the multimillion dollars range
- Strong construction knowledge and digital literacy
- Strong case law knowledge in both civil code and common law provinces
- Thorough knowledge of a variety of property coverage wordings
- Some basic accounting skills
- Superior communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent report writing skills
