ROLE SUMMARY

As the Director Marketing GCX Canada, your mission is to accelerate the growth of the brand portfolio and enhance brand equity across the Canadian region; you will develop and execute an omnichannel marketing strategy; and be the voice of the consumer for Canada. In this role you will drive the Stanley Black & Decker portfolio working to maximize the effectiveness of overall content strategy and creation, brand positioning, digital marketing, insights, merchandising, enterprise storytelling and creative execution while preparing the sales and commercial teams for compelling customer interactions. Lead the digital strategy across the entire digital marketing playbook of paid, owned, and earned channels including SEO/SEM, paid and organic social, influencer, retargeting and beyond. You will sit at the leadership table for the Canadian Region as well as the Global Customer Experience function. You will develop and communicate our digital marketing investment strategy and coordinate the evolution of our ad technology platform and tools to deliver on business goals.

In the first year, you will grow top line revenue across the business by building compelling and engaging experiences for end users, while keeping customer top of mind and appreciating the buyer’s role. Concrete deliverables include working with regional commercial, sales and eCommerce partners to drive winning customer plans with priority retailers such as The Home Depot, Lowes Canada, Canadian Tire and Amazon. You should expect to drive integrated marketing plans across the Product, Commercial, Brand, Digital and eCommerce teams to ensure country level marketing plans are focused on the key regional business priorities.

Reporting to the Vice President Brand, you will collaborate closely with Region Leaders, and Business Unit Leadership. You will bring your digital first and creative approach; high EQ and passion; and work collaboratively with the global marketing organization and international teams to drive efficiencies and ensure Canadian regional needs are integrated in global initiatives to drive local relevancy.   • Build a robust marketing strategy that supports new product launches in the go-forward strategy, as well as maintaining momentum with evergreen products
  • Disciplined management of the marketing budget; develop and deliver against recommendations and build sound business cases to secure additional resources from the executive leadership team to support strategies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience with marketing innovation in a either a SKU-intensive brand or multi-brand consumer product portfolio with revenues of $300+ million
  • Demonstrated expertise working and leading business teams in Canada
  • Experience in high volume retail and / or distributor environment involving complexity in price, channel, and product, with the ability to act as a marketing spokesperson with internal and external customers to generate excitement about launches
  • Referenceable track record of influence across a global company, matrix environment

  • 12+ years of experience in digital marketing, omnichannel execution, end-user CRM, performance marketing optimization, leveraging digital media content platforms; leading digital marketing teams running global campaigns in multiple languages (English & French)
