Role will entail representing FCC Compliance on internal project committees, including but not limited to the Automation Project. Location: Toronto, Ontario

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $26 to $30 per hour

Our client, a reputable educational institution in Toronto, is seeking a Special Education Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic support to students with special needs, implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and assisting the students with activities of daily living.

Key Responsibilities:
– Work closely with teachers to provide individualized support to students with special needs
– Implement strategies outlined in IEPs to help students achieve academic success
– Assist students with physical disabilities with activities of daily living, as needed
– Monitor student progress and communicate with teachers and parents on a regular basis
– Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for all students
– Collaborate with the school’s special education team to continually improve support services for students with special needs

Qualifications:
– Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with special needs
– Diploma or degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field
– Knowledge of IEPs and experience implementing strategies outlined in IEPs
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment
– First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
