Giant Tiger is seeking a summer 2024 Merchandise Financial Planning Intern from the following programs: Business, Finance, Administration.This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is seeking to gain professional experience while pursuing a Business, Finance or Administration degree. As the Merchandise Financial Planning Intern, you will work closely with other Store Planners as well as the Merchandise Financial Planning Manager and have the chance to develop transferable skills and experience for your resume at a top Canadian retailer! Your responsibilities will include supporting in the reviewing of plans and various administrative duties.Merchandise Financial Planning Intern, Role Highlights:
- Support in reviewing store plan across 221 classes and conduct a clean- up to
realign with compensation strategy * Support planning team with ad hoc tasks
- Data entry
- Sit in on team meetings
- Compile reports as required
- Work with various individuals from the Planning team
- Train in GT’s proprietary ERP system, TM1
Merchandise Financial Planning Intern, Candidate Requirements:
- Recent graduate or currently enrolled in a Business, Finance or Administrative program
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Desire to conduct clerical and administration based tasks
- Ability to exhibit patience when performing repetitive tasks, ensuring consistent quality
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset
