  • Assists with project planning, execution, follow-up on quotes and closedown deliverables (e.g., Engineering requests, SharePoint Administration, Project Close documents, etc.

  • Purchasing items
  • Equipment and materials assets
  • Equipment manuals, drawings ( e.g. die or equipment drawings)
  • Facility insurance reports & pressure vessels documents for TSSA

  • Copies of quotes & proposals for future reference and estimating (What we purchased, when & how much)
  • Asset movements; manage & communicate information to finance
  • Managing active listing of surplus equipment at facilities
  • Assist Project Manager with administrative duties & contractor follow-up’s & request for proposals quotes/process as required
  • Assist with the Development of presentation materials
  • Assist in the co-ordination of project meetings, conferences, training and events as required

Day in the lifeWhat does a role as a Summer Student with Miller Maintenance look like? It is a role for someone who enjoys working outdoors in nature, likes to engage in physical activity and looks forward to the chance for every day to be a little different than the day before! Miller Maintenance provides highway maintenance for the Ministry of Transportation on provincial highways. What does this mean? We are responsible for everything along the highway from the fence line in and keeping the motoring public safe! This is a very crucial role because if we don’t do what we do then traffic can’t go anywhere! As a summer student you are providing support for our full-time crews and helping complete tasks ranging from traffic control for accidents on the highway, to cutting grass and weed whipping behind guiderails as well as inspecting culverts and installing signs along the highway.You may also be tasked with repairing guiderail which helps keep motorists safe along the shoulder of the highway, you could be helping patch potholes in the driving surface of the highway as well as picking litter to keep our highways clean and looking great!CultureAt Miller, we want every employee to feel connected, where creativity and innovation thrive, and your contributions make a real impact.
