This role is key to our strategic direction and future growth with the objective of providing our members with a seamless, outcome driven healthcare experience. As a core member of our Manulife Group Benefits team, the successful candidate will be a key contributor central to scoping and supporting the execution of partnership initiatives which create additional business, plan sponsor and member value. This Senior Manager will work closely with the Director, along with cross-functional teams (product, data and analytics, marketing, sales / distribution) to deliver these key strategic initiatives to the market.Job Requirements:Partnering internally with Manulife’s cross-functional teams and externally with strategic partners, you will be central in shaping how Manulife fulfills its strategic partnership vision by:
- Representing the provider network perspective through business case generation and strategy refinement, to internal stakeholders, external partners and plan sponsors.
- Researching, aggregating, and maintaining competitive intelligence on carrier competitors and their approach to strategic partnerships to inform the optimal strategic partnership state for Manulife.
- Supporting the development of the operational plans related to strategic partnerships across cross-functional teams and external stakeholder groups (i.e. research and data required to contribute to key business cases)..
- Managing ongoing relationships with external strategic partners, along with ongoing business reviews and strategic insights to continue to optimize the partnership.
- Owning the project management process of the strategic initiative and internal stakeholder working groups.
- In collaboration with cross-functional teams, supporting the defining and monitoring of KPI’s (via the engagement team) that are unique to each strategic initiative to measure effectiveness and ensure ongoing optimization paramount to continued success and growth.
- Along with the Director, supporting the sourcing, evaluation and contracting function related to strategic partnerships.
Competencies:
- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience, including strategic partnerships, group benefit insurance, digital health experience and, or having held a previous comparable role.
- University degree. An MBA, or other advanced business degree would be beneficial.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical thinking ability, with attention to detail.
- Strong data analytics capabilities would be considered an asset.
- Strong organizational skills or project management background would be an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and translate data into meaningful insights, with strong storytelling expertise to convey messages to a diverse set of stakeholders.
- Ability to generate high-quality presentations, materials, and artefacts for diverse internal and external audiences.
- Demonstrated ability and confidence to deliver and present to senior leadership.
- Strong relationship-building skills and proven experience working with cross-functional teams (product, data, marketing, sales, operations).
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and adapt to changing demands.
- High level of self-motivation with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Highly developed financial acumen and business orientation.
