THE POSITION:

The Social Media & Digital Marketing Specialist is an experienced digital marketer and social media community manager, able to engage with diverse online audiences and generate and execute omnichannel marketing strategies, that include email marketing, web, UX and influencer programs. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and implement St. Louis’s social media and email marketing strategy, developing monthly content calendars that focus on organic and paid content. This includes content and asset generation.
  • Contribute to implementing St. Louis’ overarching digital marketing strategy.
  • Conceptualize, design and execute omni-channel digital campaigns that create conversions and contribute to general branding and overall positioning, differentiating St. Louis from the competition
  • Develop creative campaigns to increase followers and engagement, as well as drive website traffic, leads and conversions.
  • Create strategic landing pages that focus on UX and lead generation to promote marketing campaigns.
  • Manage social media channels at all times, including community and reputation management.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop engaging content.
  • Conduct market research to determine the best channels and approaches to engage with our audiences.
  • Assist with the creation of high-quality content for all online channels (social media, email and web), including social media copy, blogs, photography and video.
  • Develop and lead a social media ambassador program and expand influencer outreach efforts.
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to track monthly results and progress.
  • Stay current with social media trends and tools.
  • Stay on top of emerging issues in online communities that may impact giving and organizational reputation.
  • Ensure consistency of brand tone, voice and visuals in all online communications and work to enhance the organization’s reputation across all online channels.
  • Contribute to creative brainstorming for a variety of projects.

EDUCATION:

  • An undergraduate degree or college diploma in Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications related or field of study.
  • A post-graduate certificate/degree, and/or additional education in digital marketing or social media management.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Expert knowledge of social media marketing and advertising
  • In-depth understanding of the technologies and processes involved in running paid social campaigns

We’re currently hiring for a Digital Marketing Specialist, Website and CRM in our Toronto location (currently remote). This position will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of all CRM requirements for our marketing websites (paymentsource.ca, nowprepay.ca, directpaynow.ca and the company intranet). Advanced knowledge of Hubpsot and inbound marketing best practices will be required for this role as the position will be the main point of contact for the company’s CRM tool. The incumbent will work closely with the Director, Marketing and Communications to ensure brand compliance in all web and CRM marketing projects and activities, and will be responsible for building out all new Hubspot template requirements using HubL and CSS coding languages. The Digital Marketing Specialist, Website and CRM will work in a fast-paced environment, which requires flexibility, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • As the daily contact for updates to our Hubspot and WordPress hosted websites, the successful candidate must be an expert in these areas as they will be responsible for maintaining the company’s CRM instances. This will include: managing marketing automation/workflows, list management, contact management, blog posting, press release posting, updates to product pages, corporate pages, career postings, marketing campaign landing pages, A/B testing, website optimization, website personalization, promotional pages, and institute web and marketing best practices across all sites.
  • They will create new website/email//CRM templates, using their knowledge of HubL, CSS, HTML and other coding languages, as needed for marketing campaigns, and suggest how best to visually design these assets to achieve marketing objectives.
  • They will actively seek out website improvements and suggest new courses of action based on those findings. This will include being a vital team member on any future web migrations or redesigns on the marketing websites.
  • They will be the website champion for the marketing website properties and demonstrate to stakeholders ways the website can help achieve campaign goals, benefit campaigns and increase prospect/customer product knowledge via this medium.

Summary

THE POSITION:

The Social Media & Digital Marketing Specialist is an experienced digital marketer and social media community manager, able to engage with diverse online audiences and generate and execute omnichannel marketing strategies, that include email marketing, web, UX and influencer programs. You possess exceptional oral and written communication skills and are able to develop engaging content. You bring a natural initiative and creativity, and thrive best in a busy work environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and implement St. Louis’s social media and email marketing strategy, developing monthly content calendars that focus on organic and paid content. This includes content and asset generation.
  • Contribute to implementing St. Louis’ overarching digital marketing strategy.
  • Conceptualize, design and execute omni-channel digital campaigns that create conversions and contribute to general branding and overall positioning, differentiating St. Louis from the competition
  • Develop creative campaigns to increase followers and engagement, as well as drive website traffic, leads and conversions.
  • Create strategic landing pages that focus on UX and lead generation to promote marketing campaigns.
  • Manage social media channels at all times, including community and reputation management.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop engaging content.
  • Conduct market research to determine the best channels and approaches to engage with our audiences.
  • Assist with the creation of high-quality content for all online channels (social media, email and web), including social media copy, blogs, photography and video.
  • Develop and lead a social media ambassador program and expand influencer outreach efforts.
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to track monthly results and progress.
  • Stay current with social media trends and tools.
  • Stay on top of emerging issues in online communities that may impact giving and organizational reputation.
  • Ensure consistency of brand tone, voice and visuals in all online communications and work to enhance the organization’s reputation across all online channels.
  • Contribute to creative brainstorming for a variety of projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • An undergraduate degree or college diploma in Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications related or field of study.
  • A post-graduate certificate/degree, and/or additional education in digital marketing or social media management.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Expert knowledge of social media marketing and advertising
  • In-depth understanding of the technologies and processes involved in running paid social campaigns
  • Content creation including strong design, photography, videography, and copywriting skills
  • Critical thinker and self-starter with strong organizational, research and information-gathering skills, with demonstrated ability to reach various audiences on a variety of communications channels
  • Strong content development skills
  • Copywriting ability and strong language skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Flexibility to monitor social media channels outside of typical business hours
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit
  • Positive attitude and detailed-oriented
  • Photography and videography background is an asset
  • CSS & HTML coding is an asset

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years relevant experience in a similar role
  • Expert knowledge of all relevant social media platforms and WordPress CMS
  • Experience with social media analytics platforms, as well as Google Analytics
  • Experience with content marketing, public relations and reputation management
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience with project management and associated platforms
  • Experience with managing budgets and resources
  • Experience with Meltwater, Sprout Social, and Mailchimp are assets
  • Experience with search engine marketing is an asset

What will your typical day look like?

As a Digital Marketing Specialist within Deloitte’s Digital Marketing team, you’ll work closely with other developers and marketers in support of Deloitte Canada’s businesses, with a focus on Ecosystems & Alliances. You will collaborate with digital marketing teammates to learn the technology for content management, email, events and registrations, social media, data/CRM and apply the learnings by delivering digital experiences. You’ll work within an agency environment, collaboratively with other marketing functions (creative/design, marketing analytics, public relations, brand and internal communications) to plan and execute marketing campaigns in support of the business needs.

About the team

The digital marketing team is part of the Marketing Technology function as Deloitte. The team also sits within our internal agency, with public relations, brand, campaign management and internal communications – working together with field marketing and the business. The digital team is very collaborative and supportive, playing an integral role in marketing communications.

You are someone with:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a web developer/designer, registration management with an interest in online marketing, social media and mobile
  • Strong coding knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), mostly front-end programming with some back-end integration knowledge. Experience with Adobe Experience Manager or other enterprise CMS),
  • Marketing general digital knowledge across Email marketing tools (Eloqua, Marketo, Pardot, Boostrap) or event registration tools (Cvent, Attendease, Certain, Splash) or Adobe products (Analytics, Audience Manager, Target) or Social Media tools (Sprinklr, Sysomos)
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or undergraduate studies in programming, or equivalent experience, working within agency environment an asset
  • Solid understanding of UX design, working with brand guidelines, layout and design standards
  • Strong communicator and problem solver who is organized and can provide digital strategy consulting and best practices to a business audience
