  • Oversee income tax returns, Canadian GST filings, and tax exemptions, while responding to inquiries and audits from regulatory authorities and clients.
  • Prepare ASC 740 (Tax Provisions) packages, deferred tax calculations, legal entity EBIT forecasts, and conduct monthly tax reviews in coordination with the Corporate Tax Group.
  • Support U.S. sales tax reporting and audits, along with managing the calculation and reporting of Canadian R&D tax credits.
  • Manage property tax payments, reconcile tax accounts, and analyze tax data to maximize recoveries and minimize tax liabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate tax policies, mitigate tax risks, and maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in field with 9+ years experience OR Master’s degree in field with 3+ years experience OR Doctoral degree in field with 4+ years experience
  • Strong understanding of US and Canadian tax system
  • Ability to quickly grasp and apply knowledge of SR&ED tax credit, Canadian GST, and US sales tax system
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a global team environment

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Proven experience in tax accounting and analysis, preferably at a mid to senior level.
