Day in the Life:

Reporting into DVP, Social Media & Targeted Marketing (Email, SMS, Direct Mail), this role at Hudson’s Bay will support various parts of the business. The Senior Analyst role will require a strategic, result driven associate with strong business acumen and curiosity about why customers behave the way they do.

The position involves joining a dynamic, fast-past team and will require support across various strategic initiatives and daily business needs.

What You Will Do:

  • Measure campaign performance through KPIs and provide recommendations for direct mail circulation and email/mobile targeting and organic social media
  • Create and implement A/B tests for direct mail, email, and mobile channels. Analyze findings and apply learnings for future campaigns
  • Analyze data, present findings to management and make strategic recommendations for future marketing campaigns and initiatives to help optimize campaign performance and ROI
  • Build and maintain weekly, quarterly, annual and campaign reports and dashboards
  • Work with the Targeted Marketing Manager and Social Media Manager to analyze channel and customer data in order to draw insights and make recommendations for driving business results through campaign optimization.
  • Use analytical and critical thinking skills to develop proactive solutions that address brand and business goals
  • Collaborate with the channel leads to develop and execute test plans for key channel components such as timing, creative, content, segmentation, frequency, etc

Job Description:

As a Social and Digital Marketing Specialist (“SDMS”), you will be responsible for creating and posting content across various social platforms for a broad range of our potential clients and customers.

The successful candidate will be:

1) An expert in content development, deployment and maintaining social calendars that are current with the latest social trends, all while maintaining the original voice of our client brands

Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Primary – Digital marketing of the Websites by targeting the intended audiences via: paid and earned media coverage, email blasts, digital advertising, blogs, web banners and social media marketing to encourage and increase the daily unique visitors to the Websites

2) Secondary – Systematically increase monthly online presence to potential customers through digital and social network marketing to achieve MQL, SQL and customer performance metrics. Provide a weekly spreadsheet update to senior management on the performance metrics of the Websites; specifically: MQL, SQL and customer numbers, conversion metrics between them and overall digital revenue generated.

3) Tertiary – Work with our WGD to increase the unique daily visitors to review all pertinent information in order to allow the MQLs to systematically qualify themselves as SQLs and then as customers. Skills and Qualifications Required:

University level bachelor’s degree in: Marketing, Digital Communications, Social Media Communications (or equivalent)

Minimum 5 years of demonstrated hands-on industry-relevant experience in:

Researching, designing and implementing the Company’s social media strategy to establish a voice, process and tactics for outbound branding communication, pending review and approval by senior management

  • Auditing, creating and evolving the existing corporate social media to the latest social media trends
  • Creating social media strategies, plan weekly blog calendars and daily posts to grow brand awareness
  • Mobilizing social media to become a powerful and effective brand agent and lead referral source by systematically growing the Company’s social reach with best practice engagement tactics

About The Role

The Director, Shared Capabilities & DevOps will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of common digital capabilities, ensure common capabilities can easily be leverage by other engineering teams, and ensure governance around re-use and expansion of shared capabilities. Further, this role will also establish state-of-the-art DevOps capabilities and implement CI/CD pipelines for fully automated digital builds and on-demand releases.

In addition, this role will be responsible for highly available, performant, and secure digital applications. As such, this role will lead digital technology operations including digital service and support management, delivering modern monitoring capabilities, optimizing support operating model, and leading a continuous improvement roadmap. As a key member of Appnovation’s Marketing team, you will work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and Content Production Manager to help write and edit original content for marketing activities while ensuring brand consistency and voice.

With a deep passion for writing, you will be responsible for working cross-functionally to create and edit compelling content and support our content marketing initiatives through strategic storytelling. You will support the management of a multi-platform content marketing strategy designed to reach existing and prospective Appnovation audiences to strengthen messaging.

You’re no stranger to executing the content development process, including the research, writing, and editing of long, medium, and short-form content. With a keen ability to think in abstract terms, you have a knack for making connections between unrelated notions, formulating innovative ideas where others cannot, and bringing value-add to brainstorming sessions.

Working closely with internal and external SMEs and freelancers, you will ensure all content is engaging, optimized for various channels, and published through the right channels at the right time. You have a proven track record of successfully creating copy for campaigns, writing and editing articles, quality control, and ensuring brand consistency across all platforms for diverse audiences.


YOU WILL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Research industry-related topics, solutions, trends, and common language specific to Appnovation and its partners to identify gaps in our content.
  • Ensures Appnovation is up to date with content trends in branding, marketing, advertising, and related communications industries.
  • Research and write compelling content to promote our services, relevant verticals, and market trends. Produce high-quality content on a wide range of formats and mediums including, but not limited to, blogs, thought leadership, case studies, banner advertising, webinars, rich media, white papers, video scripts, website, sales presentations, social media, email.
  • Edit and fact-check content generated by colleagues and freelancers to ensure narrative consistency, voice, and tone for error-free publishing.
  • Use SEO best practices and keyword knowledge to optimize articles and website copy.
  • Work with third-party partners on executing content marketing initiatives.
  • Contribute, create and refine processes and implement content creation efficiencies.
  • Shape language and tone for sales emails, banners, and brochures, etc.
  • Liaise with designers and multimedia specialists to enrich copy with visual aids.
  • Maintain the SME database and identify industry/partner professionals to collaborate with.
  • Main contributor to the blog.
  • First-round editing for blog submissions.
  • Actively participate in content brainstorm sessions.
  • Ensure all content is up-to-date.
  • Provide monthly content updates.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • 5+ years of professional experience writing and producing B2B copy and content, ideally in software, technology, or professional services with proven work experience as a Senior Copywriter, Product Copywriter, or similar role.
  • Impeccable grammar with strong copywriting skills and knowledge of editing procedures with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to use data and analytics to reinforce content creation.
  • Aptitude to learn technical jargon. Adept at learning new industry, company, product, and/or technical developments to support company, partner, and client projects.
  • Proficient in both AP and CP styles.
  • Excellent time management, relationship-building, communication, multitasking, interviewing.
  • Must be deadline-driven, self-starter, analytical thinker, results-oriented, upbeat, tech-savvy, passion to learn and succeed and work well under pressure.
  • Experience with Drupal (or similar CMS).
  • Experience with writing for technology, software, and/or professional services.
  • Agency experience is preferred but not required.
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism or related work experience.

What You Will Do:

The Social Media Community Manager is responsible for growing Fidelity Canada’s social media through primarily developing and executing content strategies and community engagement.

  • Understand the audience – You will embrace data from various sources and monitor social media to understand who our audiences are and what motivates them.

  • Tell our story – You will learn about what differentiates Fidelity, our investment professionals, products and services and culture, and lead the development and execution of content strategies with creativity and consistency across various internal and external social media platforms.

  • Be an owner – You will own the overall administration of Fidelity Canada’s social media program (except advertising or paid social media). This includes account management, vendor management, daily operations, advocacy, risk management and more.
