Title: Human Resources Coordinator
Location: Mississauga, ON
Salary: $55,000 – $60,000 per year
Job Description:
Our client, a well-established company in the Mississauga area, is currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of HR duties, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities:
– Coordinate recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks
– Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing offer letters, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
– Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures
– Administer employee benefits programs, including health and dental insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
– Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management
– Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation
– Provide administrative support to the HR team as needed
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
– 1-3 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist or coordinator role
– Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and HRIS systems
– HR certification (e.g. CHRP) is considered an asset
