- Working with stakeholders, internal and external to CNL, to identify and leverage opportunities for technical partnerships and collaboration.

What we are looking for:
- Education
- Bachelors (Honour) in Engineering or Science from a university of recognized standing; or membership in an engineering or scientific professional organization authorized by statute to establish qualification for membership in that organization.
- An advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D. in Science, Engineering, or Environmental Sciences) is considered a significant asset.
- Advanced training or certification in project management is considered a significant asset.
- Experience
- Minimum of fifteen (15) to twenty (20) years of experience in the nuclear industry, with significant experience in radioactive waste management.
- Significant experience in strategy development and strategic planning for managing legacy nuclear liabilities.
- Significant experience in technical evaluations and planning, preferably related to the lifecycle management of radioactive waste.
- Significant experience in independent, responsible decisions and serving as a technical authority.
- Significant experience in collecting, analyzing, and organizing complex data sets to make recommendations to resolve complex challenges based on experience, industry best practices, or innovative approaches.
- Significant experience in leading discrete projects, with experience in all phases of project lifecycles (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and close-out).
- Experience in developing original, ingenious, practical, and economical solutions to problems.
- Experience in operations and/or field execution related to radioactive waste management is required.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to adapt communications to the target audience ranging from technical professionals to technical industry working groups to the CNL Senior Leadership Team.
- Expert-level ability to develop and implement credible, underpinned, and deliverable technical and project plans for complex environmental challenges.
- Expert-level ability to review highly technical information and data, evaluate options and approaches, and develop solutions and recommendations from both a strategic and execution-level perspective.
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative solutions, including effective engagement of stakeholders to build consensus and ‘buy-in’ on key decisions.
- Expert-level understanding of the full lifecycle of radioactive waste for all three classes (LLW, ILW, and HLW).
- Expert-level understanding of the Canadian nuclear industry, including the CNSC regulations and key projects/approaches employed by partner organizations (such as the NWMO).
- Well-developed understanding of nuclear decommissioning and environmental remediation processes, approaches, and technologies.
- Well-developed understanding of project management principles, including an understanding of the interaction of planning, execution, and close-out of multi-year projects.
- Broad understanding of international benchmarks and approaches for radioactive waste management.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Level 2 Secret requires a minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom. Hays is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our team in Toronto. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and driving the sales operation of our organization, as well as developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
– Managing a team of sales representatives and guiding them towards achieving sales goals
– Developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth
– Building and maintaining relationships with key clients and partners
– Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth
– Providing regular sales reports and updates to senior management
– Conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to sales team members
– Collaborating with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of sales activities
– Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management
– Proven track record of successfully leading a sales team and achieving revenue targets
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
– Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
