What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent; A Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering will be an asset.
  • A minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in Water and Wastewater facility, solid waste facility structural designs in Ontario or across Canada.
  • Have a Professional Engineer License from PEO, EGBC or APEGA. A PMP designation will be an asset.
  • Familiar with relevant codes and standards, including OBC2024, NBCC2020, CSA A23, ACI 350, etc.
  • Proficient in structural analysis and design software such as Staad.Pro, S-Frame, and CSI series. Basic knowledge of BIM360 and REVIT is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and articulate verbal communication. Good writing skills to work on proposals, technical memoranda, and reports.
  • Can perform interdisciplinary coordination with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Architectural disciplines per project requirements.
  • Cool under pressure and always ready to tackle challenges head-on. Proactive in the issue and assume the responsibilities as a structural lead in the design team.
  • Can work independently, deliver detailed designs that meet clients’ expectations. Responsible and accountable in your role.
