Job ResponsibilitiesThe Finance Intern will assist the Financial Reporting and Advisory functions of the Kinross finance department:

  • Participation in the 2024 year end and 2025 first quarter external financial reporting process.
  • Assist in the preparation of other corporate financial reporting and/or disclosures including the Annual Information Form, Management Information Circular,
  • Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act (ESTMA) reports, and Sustainability/Corporate Responsibility reports.
  • Analysis of financial information.
  • Assistance with other ad-hoc requests and analysis.

Education and Experience

  • 2nd or 3rd year Business – Accounting/Finance (or related) program from a recognized educational institution with an excellent academic record.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to undertake various tasks.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to learn quickly and to work well in a team environment.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Spanish, French, or Portuguese language abilities would also be an asset.
