As the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing and Experience, the successful candidate will be a key member of the Marketing Leadership Team. Accountable for digital marketing strategy, subscription growth and development of key DTC brands such as Crave, this role will build a strategic marketing vision for key DTC properties, ensuring that marketing activities deliver short term and long term business results. As a leader, you will inspire and develop a team of marketing professionals. You will become the go-to person for OTT acquisition marketing for Bell Media.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the direction of digital and acquisition marketing strategy to drive subscriptions, revenue and Customer Lifetime Value for key DTC brands such as Crave
  • Create and execute strategies and marketing initiatives driving brand awareness, consumer engagement, product use and market leadership
  • Activate the full marketing funnel and develop the consumer journey positioning for Crave and other DTC properties
  • Build and leverage key brands like HBO, Showtime and STARZ while establishing a unique voice for Crave
  • Be the champion for the consumer delivering an unmatched user experience for the Crave and all other DTC web and apps
  • Implement on-channel and social media strategies to drive engagement and viewership
  • Support affiliate marketing teams to drive subscription and retention to BDU subscriptions to Crave and other DTC properties
  • Build relationships with third party platforms to maximise marketing opportunities through merchandising and 1:1 marketing
  • Be the team expert on industry developments in OTT services and best practices for acquisition marketing
  • Evaluate new marketing opportunities with social media and digital partners
  • Build and manage budgets
  • Manage external agency relationships
  • Leverage data for key insights to better understand our customers and our competitive positioning
  • Build a culture of inclusion and learning while leading a high-performing environment


Competences:

  • 4 year College/University degree or equivalent; Business Marketing, Advertising and/or Business Strategy. MBA an asset.
  • 7 to 10 years’ experience in a senior Marketing role, with focus on eCommerce, digital and acquisition marketing
  • Proven experience developing conversion based integrated marketing strategies across the consumer journey, including digital, traditional, out of home and Bell Media owned touch points.
  • Expert knowledge in industry trends, competition and customer buying habits
  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycles and processes
  • Exceptional analytical skills; strong focus on ROI
  • Experience with data and customer segmentation as the basis for discovering actionable insights.
  • Bilingualism (English and French), considered a very strong asset due to the national scope of the role
  • Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders, as well as initiate and drive change
  • Highly energetic team player with the ability to work collaboratively within the Marketing team and cross-functionally with other key stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to adapt to a demanding, rapidly changing work environment, set priorities and meet tight deadlines

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.

Reporting to the Director of Media & Analytics, the Sr. Analyst, Consumer Insights will be responsible for providing objective, value-added customer analysis and recommendations to facilitate discussions & decisions related to total business strategy, marketing efforts and high-profile initiatives for Joe Fresh.

What You’ll Do:

  • Evolve our discipline of on-going descriptive and predictive analytics to ensure we are proactively responding to opportunities and threats that arise within our customer base
  • Expand report automation and dashboarding to increase data accessibility for key business stakeholders
  • Leveraging insights, collaborate with various business teams on strategy and growth opportunities; consult on experimentation approaches and translate results into actionable takeaways including future experimentation
  • Extract, review and prepare data for analysis & reporting using SQL and other programming languages
  • Combine multiple sources of customer data with product-level attribute data, providing thought leadership on product and marketing strategies that maximize customer health as well as business outcomes like incremental sales, profit and marketing efficiency
  • Synthesize large amounts of data from multiple sources, including customer transaction data, consumer & syndicated research, market share, and campaign results. Extrapolate and interpret appropriate information to deliver value add recommendations

What You’ll Need:

  • 2-5 years related work experience in an analytical role. Experience ideally in Retail, CPG industry, Consumer Finance, or Telecommunications
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in mathematics, computer science, engineering, business or related disciplines, with a sound understanding of data analytics
  • Expert in data manipulation and analysis using SQL is a must (using BigQuery Standard SQL and/or Python in Datalab is a plus!)
  • A strong understanding of how marketing tech can be leveraged to solve business problems
  • Sound knowledge of CRM principles and lifecycle marketing strategies (ex. customer journey, acquisition, conversion, loyalty, engagement, retention and attrition models)
  • Experience working with raw data from Teradata, Google or Adobe analytics, Media platforms (ex. Google Marketing Platforms, Facebook), Email Platforms (Salesforce), Experimentation (ex. Adobe Target, Audience Manager)
  • Experience owning and/or contributing to advanced analytics projects (ex. Building custom attribution models, omni-channel customer journey analysis, Propensity to buy models, etc)
  • Experience with measuring campaign effectiveness using statistical concepts (ANOVA, ANCOVA, T-test, etc)
  • Have previously built compelling visualizations to convey key insights using tools such as Tableau, Looker, PowerBI or python libraries (ex. seaborn, matplotlib, ggplot)
  • Exceptional organizational, problem solving, critical thinking and analysis skills combined with the ability to synthesize and effectively communicate findings to all levels throughout the organization (including conveying technical concepts to nontechnical audiences)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, maintain focus while working on multiple complex projects
