We are looking for a qualified Content Author who will be responsible for creating, improving, and maintaining content according to our clients’ business goals and brand requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain engaging content in our CMS(s) for our clients
  • Cropping / compressing and transferring visual assets and copyrighted assets from design team to the website
  • Deployment / activation of website content on a consistent schedule
  • Quality assurance of your work and your peers
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and develop site content, style and layout
  • Liaise with content writers to ensure brand consistency
  • Optimize content according to SEO
  • Use content management systems to deliver the content in a consistent manner
  • Manage a promotional and cycle calendar and ensure content timing is accurate and planned appropriately
  • Ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright, data protection, and legal disclaimers)
  • Stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas to draw user’s attention


REQUIREMENTS

Must haves:

  • Impeccable attention to detail, with the ability to see the big picture while paying attention to the small details
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to problem-solve in both solo and collaborative situations
  • Strong computer and software skills (including Google Suite, and project management software)
  • BSc degree or diploma in Marketing, Digital Advertising, Business Administration, or relevant field

Nice to haves:

  • Prior work experience as a Content Manager/Author
  • Hands on experience with MS Office, Photoshop, and content management platforms (Adobe Experience Manager, Contentful)
  • Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing

The Role and Responsibilities
The Email Marketing and Design Coordinator will help grow brand awareness & loyalty, as well as acquire leads through the support and development of email marketing campaigns, graphic design, and other marketing-related tasks as needed. This role will support the four person marketing team by taking on deliverables and tasks in the following areas:

Email & Marketing

  • Creation, management and deployment of weekly and ad-hoc email marketing

campaigns, as well as A/B testing

  • Support in the development of email strategy and growth tests
  • Segmentation, compilation, and maintenance of email audience lists
  • Tracking and analyzing email marketing campaign results
  • Assist in the migration and development into future CRM tool
  • Assist with the development of future lifecycle email automation campaigns
  • Liaise with customer service on upcoming marketing campaigns
  • Support in answering customer inquiries through social media

Design

  • Support the ideation, development, and design of weekly member communications,

email campaigns, ad units, social content, and web design using Adobe’s Creative Suite

  • Perform retouching and manipulation of images

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree, diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an email marketing or graphic design position
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
  • Solid knowledge of email marketing and graphic design tools (e.g. Mailchimp,

Salesforce, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)

  • Solid understanding of email and digital best practices
  • Team player
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously with quick turnaround
  • Passion for food and supporting local!

Requirements

    Amplitude, Periscope, Sisense, Branch, AppsFlyer, Sensor Tower, Google Analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
  • Familiarity with analysis tools; R or Python packages are preferred.

The Role

The Content Writer will be responsible for:

  • Working alongside the Business Development team to ensure materials follow BlackSquare’s standards for tone and style.

What you bring:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in content design, digital copywriting, or content strategy, preferably with a focus on eCommerce
  • The ability to convey complexity simply
  • An understanding of the importance of data-driven decision-making with knowledge of performance metrics
  • An understanding of information architecture, effective hierarchies, and the interplay between visual design and language

Role Impact:
