This Jr. Copywriter needs to be a creative problem-solver with a deep understanding of how to shape stories for social platforms. You know, someone that can capture a business decision-maker’s attention in 280 characters or less, or craft the perfect copy for an trend-based GIF that breaks the internet. We are a scrappy team that makes up a robust content engine for Microsoft, so we expect this CW to provide quick-turn copy for brand or executive requests but also to do the appropriate research to make sure it will connect with our audiences (primarily B2B + B2C tech-curious).

You will be joining a team of diverse creatives, supporting a Sr. Copywriter, Creative Director and content studio-all of whom bring interesting professional experiences and a true passion for art and life to every assignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and own the client’s brand voice-from all-up Microsoft brand to 10+ B2B and B2C product brands.
  • In partnership with Senior Copywriter, own ad hoc and urgent copywriting requests for blog and social that come in, turning around social-first and compelling recommendations in short order.
  • Craft compelling copy and on-image copy (for content studio to produce) for 50+ Microsoft social channels monthly editorial calendars. We’re talking creative production at scale!
  • Support with social campaign concepting and execution in partnership with Creative Director, ACD team and content studio.
  • Collaborate with agency team members from creative, account, production, PR, strategy, planning and analytics to produce smart, powerful work.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in marketing, advertising or social media, with significant emphasis on social and digital copywriting
  • Killer writing skills, research skills, and a sharp cultural radar
  • Literate in the language of the internet and social, and an understanding of how to drive conversation and engagement online. Should be comfortable writing for LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok…and corporate blogs (you can flex the tone accordingly).
  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English or related major
  • Solid grammar, editing and proofreading capabilities
