ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

The primary role of a Territory Manager is to deliver commercial and consumer performance for ITCAN (Imperial Tobacco Canada) within a geographical area. This will be accomplished by building strong customer relationships with retailers and staff and leveraging both commercial acumen and digital assets to meet consumer needs.

What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?

Using superior leadership and influencing skills, you will build value-added relationships with retailers and staff to execute corporate plans, negotiate strategies, and meet business objectives through category advisement.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Manage your territory to deliver volume and market share targets that contribute to achieving national, regional, and district-level objectives, through effective implementation of cycle activities for all ITCAN’s product categories.
  • Deliver a superior customer experience by leveraging ITCAN’s bespoke digital tools and assets to maintain strong business relationships, train retailers and staff to effectively communicate ITCAN brands to consumers, timely respond to retailer and staff questions and concerns, monitor contract compliance and deliver personalized 1-2-1 customer and consumer insights to drive performance;
  • Generate and maintain market demand of ITCAN’s multi-category products by ensuring adequate inventory levels, attaining distribution targets, reducing OOS, merchandising effectively and ensuring a competitive price for the entire product and brand portfolios.
  • Work on special projects at the provincial and national levels with your team of Territory Managers.
  • Drive performance in a highly regulated market.

Experience Required

  • Gérer votre territoire pour atteindre des objectifs de volume et de part de marché qui contribuent à la réalisation des objectifs nationaux, régionaux et au niveau du district, grâce à la mise en œuvre efficace des activités de cycle pour toutes les catégories de produits ITCAN;
  • Offrez une expérience client supérieure en tirant parti des outils et des actifs numériques de ITCAN pour maintenir des relations commerciales solides, former les détaillants et le personnel pour communiquer efficacement les marques ITCAN aux consommateurs, répondre en temps opportun aux questions et préoccupations des détaillants et du personnel, surveiller la conformité des contrats et fournir une solution personnalisée 1-à-1 en utilisant informations sur les clients et les consommateurs pour améliorer les performances;

Responsibilities

The Marketing Operations Manager will lead and drive marketing operations from end to end. This role reports to the Central Marketing Organization Lead in Canada.

The Marketing Operation Lead helps with marketing planning, budget management, offshore resources management, and business discussions in the Area. This role engages with the CMO Lead, Integrated Marketing Lead (IML), IMM (Integrated Marketing Managers), Events, Social and Data and Insights leads, Business Groups, Business Program Manager, Finance and other stakeholders.

In addition this role will lead the preparation for Canada Marketing Rhythm of Connection (quarterly marketing discussions with Headquarters team) preparation with different stakeholders while articulating opportunities and marketing impact.

This role also oversees entire Marketing Operations in partnership with Marketing Service Central (MSC), the offshore marketing support team and in connection with the Field Service Engagement Manager (FSEM). You are the point of contact for Marketing Service Central team that provides marketing execution at scale for Microsoft in Canada. The Marketing Operations Manager actively partners with Corporate Headquarters’ stakeholders and sits on different virtual councils.

You are also responsible for helping to drive awareness for marketing compliance policies—inclusive of adhering to web site process and guideline. Clear communicator of actions so field marketers can minimize company’s risk across local web sites, MAS, Privacy, Brand.
This role is accountable for internal marketing readiness, Sales and Marketing content Hub maintenance and understanding, and adoption of modern marketing tools.

While driving marketing operations, you also lead digital compliance in our marketing executions. To deliver optimal customer experiences, you work across multiple leaders and stakeholders to address Microsoft’s global policies.
