Job description: Job Summary As a RPA Analyst & Developer in RBC Capital Markets, you will assess, research, analyze and document sponsor/stakeholder needs in relation to Capital Markets Business and Client Services’ projects with particular emphasis on automation/RPA (Robotic Process Automation). You will help identify automated solutions that satisfy sponsor/stakeholder needs. This role will provide assistance with designing and mapping business processes and procedures, while developing, testing, and deploying solutions leveraging automation software.Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?As a RPA Developer in RBC Capital Markets, you will assess, research, analyze and document sponsor/stakeholder needs in relation to Capital Markets Business and Client Services’ projects with particular emphasis on RPA (Robotic Process Automation). You will help identify automated solutions that satisfy sponsor/stakeholder needs. This role will provide assistance with designing and mapping business processes and procedures.The successful incumbent would be required to: Analyze current state processes and provide meaningful suggestions for process re-engineering and technology implementation to improve efficiency and controls; Support the detailed requirement phases by identifying, tracking, escalating and/or resolving requirements issues; Prepare and consolidate technical and business requirements documentation; Assist in the preparation of the implementation plan; Engage Automation Leads to plan, develop, and execute on automation initiatives; Support User Acceptance and Integrated Systems Testing by initiating the planning and development of test cases and the execution of tests; Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders, and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close.Is this a fully remote role?Our primary location is RBC Centre, 155 Wellington St W, Toronto, ON and employees are required to be on-premises approximately 50% of the time. The other 50% is working from home. Please only apply to this role if being on premises is feasible.What will you do?Assist in analysis on projects in accordance with the RBC Project Management Framework (PMF)Design, develop and test complex Robotics Process Automation solutions using latest automation technologies (currently Blue Prism)Facilitate workshop sessions to elicit requirements, resolve problems/inefficiencies, communicate project status, and align expectations with stakeholdersAnalyze workflow processes and recommend solutionManage multiple concurrent project tasksPrepare accurate, timely and compliant documents/reportsWork closely with Subject Matter Experts and project manager to deliver solutionsParticipate in testing initiativesAchieve and maintain highest levels of customer satisfactionBe a technology advocate and share expertise with other team members.Be a key partner to the business and the rest of the team throughout the delivery cycleThink through challenging and interesting problems and solve them with your teamWhat Do You Need to Succeed?Must HaveMinimum 2 years of RPA process development experience using Blue Prism automation softwareAdvanced .NET Framework competency or extensive experience with other programming frameworksKnowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)An Agile mindset and team playerExcellent communication skills both verbal and written, including presentation skillsMinimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Finance, Engineering, Science or Math desirableExperience in assessing key business processes and documentation of process flowsSelf-motivated, able to work independentlyAble to manage multiple prioritiesAbove average skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.)Ability to build strong, relationships with clients and stakeholders across the enterpriseAbility to facilitate the requirements gathering and analysis of key business process needs and toolset gapsGood working knowledge of Capital Markets Business and Client Services functions and processesWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
