- Responsible for reviewing concrete mix designs for testing purposes
- Responsible for providing testing for the concrete group
- Communication with Superintendents, Contractors, Owners, Consultants, and other Ministry officials
- Calculation of data entry of test results as required
- Ensure prompt and accurate testing and reporting of materials
- Ensure all equipment is functioning and calibrated
- Responsible for evaluating the performance of available materials
Qualifications
- Various certifications (CCIL/ACI concrete testing) as required
- Understanding of concrete testing procedures
- Experience with QC procedures for field and/or laboratory testing
- Post Secondary Education in a related field is an asset
- Must be detail orientated
- Working on/near construction sites
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment when required
- Experience with MTO/CSA concrete is an asset
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Ability to work long/flexible hours
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, walk over uneven terrain, lift and transport testing equipment and samples, bend for prolonged periods of time during testing
- Travel Required & must have a valid driver’s license
