Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, the Senior Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting our Community Development practice throughout Ontario, on various marketing and communications projects, both internal and external. A key deliverable is promoting several technical services across all markets, including landscape architecture, planning, urban design, civil engineering, and geospatial services. The successful candidate will also be responsible for working with our leadership team to implement content marketing strategies, business plans, public relations plans, and client outreach strategies across the practice. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple concurrent initiatives, and enjoys working with a diverse team and various management levels, both in person, virtually, and across the region.

Your Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage proposal submissions from commencement to conclusion, including positioning activities, leading strategy sessions, the coordination of scheduling and deliverables, content generation touchpoints, and review periods through to submittal, client presentations and debrief.

Exceptional researcher and a persuasive writer – Demonstrate strong research skills into markets, sectors, competitors, and potential targets, with an ability to translate information into insight to fuel winning strategies and compelling and tailored narratives.

Take ownership of a portfolio of work, independently assessing and driving successful business development outcomes for the group throughout the pursuit or marketing campaign lifecycle.

Deploy successful promotional and marketing campaigns which highlight our depth of experience and expertise, directing implementation from ideation and content creation to execution.

Support the needs of the firm’s account management program through research, strategic positioning, and recurring touch points with account management teams.

Facilitate proactive business development and client outreach initiatives through virtual and digital platforms.

Lead and facilitate ta variety of meetings including recurring marketing meetings, business planning and key account management sessions, GNG discussions and pursuit kick-off sessions.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Working knowledge of the Ontario A/E/C market including competitor insight and familiarity with key clients, with a focus on a diverse array of market sectors.

Exceptional business writing skills with demonstrated experience developing engaging narrative responses to RFP’s, as well as external and internal communications.

A self-starter who is comfortable directing a technical team on the delivery of pursuits, promotional material, and business development activities including independent decision making for the team.

Strong organizations and time management skills.

A consummate professional who is interested in developing best practices within your role.

A diligent and detail-oriented proposal leader with exceptional prioritization skills.

Education and Experience

Post-secondary degree or an equivalent level of experience in marketing and/or communications

The Duties:

  • Act as an advocate for our players – supporting a collaborative and fan-centric culture across teams
  • Create fun and engaging player-facing content to announce upcoming game updates, fixes, and initiatives

This role serves in a support capacity to our project and development team. As part of this position, you will be engaging with all aspects of development and work directly with the project lead. Key responsibilities:

Key Skills:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Fundraising and Engagement on the Community Giving team. You will support writing, development, testing and reporting for Sunnybrook Foundation’s digital fundraising and engagement campaigns.

Key accountabilities:

  • Create digitally-engaging marketing copy for Community Giving campaigns that drive supporters to a call to action (donation campaigns, news/updates, patient and supporter engagement and more).
  • Tell the story of Sunnybrook’s staff, work and patients in a personable and creative way. You must be able to frequently adapt your writing style according to theme, voice and message.
  • Build and optimize fundraising and engagement emails.
  • Execute your ideas from start to finish using digital marketing tools and coding emails using HTML and CSS templates to build and edit campaigns.
  • Diligently review and test content to Sunnybrook’s communications and brand standards.
  • Using CRM tools and Google Analytics, establish campaign performance metrics to help make data-driven decisions to optimize future campaigns.
  • Support the creation of segment-specific automated audience journeys, by documenting plans, decision points and logical flows and outcomes.
  • Assist with drafting engaging and audience activating copy for various other types of digital content including landing pages, donate pages
  • Work with graphic designer(s) to produce compelling digital creative content.

Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a digital role.
  • Proficient in designing, building and deploying emails through Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including coding in HTML and CSS coding for email.
  • Experience writing for digital fundraising, engagement and storytelling, with a clear understanding of what message reaches which people best at the right time. Samples of work will be requested.
  • Strong understanding of data as it pertains to digital fundraising campaigns. Experience with Raisers Edge and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud is an asset.
  • Good understanding of digital campaign execution and testing practices.
  • Comfortable working in Adobe Photoshop to edit/adapt creative work produced by designers.
  • Strong understanding of gathering and analyzing performance data from digital campaigns, including implementation and tracking of UTM parameters.
