Position Overview
:

The CRM team is seeking a dynamic, innovative Email Marketing Associate to develop, implement and measure the effectiveness of CRM (primarily email) campaigns.

Reporting directly to Senior Manager, CRM, the ideal candidate is an experienced database marketer, with direct marketing and channel experience. They need to be capable of building and evolving CRM email marketing campaigns and interpreting results to generate insight and formulating concepts and campaigns to deliver results. They are strategic and analytical with the ability to think outside the box and drive new unique approaches.

It’s imperative that the candidate is proactive and continuously seeking new opportunities to improve messaging and targeting, and enhanced client experience with a keen focus on performance measurement.


Responsibilities
:

  • Work closely with the Senior Manager CRM to implement and execute the CRM email marketing strategy.
  • Effectively manage external agencies for message & campaign development, email design execution and campaign targeting and program measurement.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external vendors to develop and maintain ADC marketing campaign-performance dashboard.
  • Build our customer journey/contact strategy, mapping and define targeting strategies enabling new opportunities to drive acquisition and retention.
  • Process improvement – identify opportunities to automate and improve efficiency.
  • Actively contribute to the overall marketing planning cycle.
  • Data analysis – Analyze data campaign performance to provide insight for opportunities for campaigns optimization.
  • Campaign management – Provide guidance for campaign targeting of marketing programs, particularly the use of control groups and related post-analysis.
  • Effectively communicate and present campaign results to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business, and IT on complex data delivery.


Required Education and Experience
:

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing (preferred) or Mathematics.
  • Experience in a database or email marketing/marketing automation analytics/CRM role.
  • Background with Data Management, Business Intelligence, Reporting Tools and Design (Google Analytics, Microstrategy would be preferred).
  • Strong SQL/SAS skills an asset.
  • Highly creative with the ability to think outside the box when developing concepts, approach and offers.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions and recommendations.
  • Strong analytical skills in order to be able to interpret data and generate new actionable insights.


Required Skills and Abilities
:

  • Direct/target marketing experience including campaign design, creative development, list creation, understanding of CASL, and Contact Strategy processes.
  • Highly organized with the proven ability to manage multiple assignments and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written) with the ability to get things done by influence.
  • Detailed oriented and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of statistics.
  • Experience with IBM Campaign (Unica) or alternative campaign automation solution.

The job will entail:

  • Owning client accounts/projects from start to finish. This includes meeting with the client and getting a clear understanding of their pain points, goals, and ideas. Consulting them on their path forward, including adding to their ideas, suggesting optimizations/best practices, and/or discussing limitations of their platform, and alternative approaches. Scoping the project. Managing execution from gathering inputs, to architecting the solution, to testing and QA. Managing timelines, ensuring projects are completed within the scoped time. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have some technical background and training in Marketo(certification preferred)
  • Have a good understanding of database management and/or digital marketing best practices.
  • Be personable, and able to build strong relationships with clients (previous client management experience preferred)
