RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the market’s Digital Shelf manager, overseeing the day-to-day operations of all local Digital Commerce eContent processes and systems
  • Manage syndication of all Digital Commerce content for Amazon and Syndigo, and partner with Omnichannel Sales manager and key retailer account managers for content syndication for their account (E.g., Walmart, Costco)
  • Partner with key local and global Digital Commerce, Marketing, Tech, and external partners to improve local Digital Commerce operations and capabilities, inclusive of product information management (PIM), content management, KPI reporting, automation and emerging technologies
  • Manage relationship with key local Digital Commerce agencies and vendors to support the creation of best-in-class digital shelf content in a timely manner, and ensure they adhere to established best practices
  • Lead efforts to analyze and optimize digital shelf efforts and assets
  • Lead development of portfolio wide Digital Commerce reports and analyses, inclusive of monthly sales & share reports
  • Develop and maintain any reporting templates needed by key team members and/or cross-functional stakeholders using Excel and/or GSK dashboarding tools (Such as PowerBI)
  • Oversee, select, and manage all key enabler technologies and vendors (Existing or new) required to deliver GSK’s Digital Commerce ambitions in Canada; currently, this includes vendors such as Bazaarvoice, PriceSpider, Edge by Ascential, and Syndigo. Develop and deliver any related training sessions for key stakeholders.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years digital commerce, digital marketing, or digital media experience
  • 1+ years managing sales, content or media programs with Amazon, Walmart.ca, or similar retailers
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze sales and marketing data, mine for insights and develop conclusions/strategy
  • 2+ years of experience in using the Microsoft Office suite with very strong Excel skills

Job description

Reporting to the Social Media Manager, the Digital Communications Associate will play a key role in supporting the organization’s digital marketing and communications plans. This is a remote position and candidates from any location in Canada are encouraged to apply.

Please note: This role is a student internship supported by a grant from Eco Canada, paying $16 per hour before deductions at 25 hours per week. The funded position is up to 12 months in duration, and preference will be given to students who are available for the full 12 months. Main duties and Responsibilities

· Helps execute World Animal Protection’s digital and social media strategies

· Develops and executes social media community engagement strategies to help us build a movement ready to act for animals

· Develops fresh and on-brand content for our digital channels (eg. blog posts, news stories, social media content, Q&As, webpage content, etc.)

· Works with the digital staff to analyze, optimize and report on digital channel performance

· Participates in cross-collaborative team meetings

· Contributes to developing campaign approaches that include meaningful actions, changing people’s behaviour, policy change, traditional media engagement, and fundraising

· Develops and executes creative digital engagement tactics for ongoing campaign to end the global wildlife trade (e.g. creative ways to share scientific data and repurpose content, innovative storytelling and education, utilizing social media features like stories or lives)

Qualifications and experience

· Experience in developing branded digital and social media content

· Experience with social media strategy, digital content creation, and community management

· Interest in working for a mission-led, non-profit or NGO organization

· Knowledge of animal welfare issues and interest in improving the lives of animals around the world

· Collaborative and proactive team player with outstanding interpersonal skills

· Excellent communications skills, verbal and written, with the ability to be accurate and persuasive

· An eye for supporter/audience engagement, analysis and testing

· Skilled in Microsoft Suite, Canva, Sprout Social

· Experience with Drupal, Engaging Networks, or other CMS and email marketing systems considered an asset

· Fluent English speaking and written; French language skills considered an asset

About the role:
As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for generating demand for MCAN/XMC through strategic brand awareness initiatives and tactical, targeted content and campaign development.

You’ll be drawing on your strong, creative and analytical skills, deep understanding of the tools to execute efficiently and on budget – all while having great communication skills to successfully plan, design and analyze content across all target channels including SEO blog copy, social posts, sales enablement assets and landing pages.

Additional responsibilities include support at the corporate level of all digital marketing initiatives, compliance with brand guidelines and regulatory requirements, as well as working with the Director, Corporate Marketing to manage high-profile projects and develop the MCAN/XMC brands in target markets. Opportunity to learn all aspects of our external facing business and work with executives in charge of lending business, finance and human resources.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Create engaging, on-brand email marketing collateral
  • Design and functionality of all website content – creation, and implementation of the content strategy to ensure online objectives are met
  • Be the go-to person for the website(s), managing the day-to-day via the CMS, closely monitoring user behaviors to optimize for engagement and acquisition
  • Create and maintain content calendars and copy across social media platforms – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest
  • Create and manage paid social campaigns across partner channels including, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn
  • Develop weekly reports and dashboards to track performance and leverage insights to optimize digital marketing campaigns for all channels (web, social, etc.)
  • Optimization of marketing conversion paths, managing and optimizing CTAs, landing pages, and lead generation forms
  • Define ways to personalize user experiences to delight customers from onboarding to activation
  • Advise on strategy and tactics to drive on-site conversion and lead generation
  • Planning, development and execution of national digital programs and campaigns, including online advertising, web site strategy and design, social media, mobile, and deliverables
  • Developing, managing and designing layouts of communications such as presentations, newsletters, event support materials, research papers, and brochures etc.
  • Management and optimization of CRM and related integrations across the pipeline and conversion path

The work experience, skills, education that you bring to the role:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media or equivalent or post-secondary education in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in a financial industry and/or a mortgage lending company is an asset
  • Experienced working with Salesforce
  • Experienced in Ad Ops, Google Analytics, Google Ads, social ad platforms and best practices
  • Knowledge of SEO and SEM
  • Experienced working with SEMrush, Zapier, Unbounce and email applications
  • Experienced working with WordPress, HTML, CSS
  • Knowledge of AODA/accessibility and CASL requirements
