What is the opportunity?
Working closely with RBC Marketing teams, RBC Digital Marketing teams & Product Managers, this position within the Digital Marketing & Sales (DMS) team helps deliver platform business strategies across digital channels for Personal Loans and Auto Finance.
What will you do?
Implement the integrated digital marketing strategy & tactics for PL/AF business in alignment with DM&S’ merchandising approach with focus on client experience and key measurable areas for acquisition, lead generation and retention.
Provide consulting advice on digital marketing best practices, information architecture, and developing mock-ups / prototypes for integrated marketing campaigns.
Optimize website pages and develop effective digital tools, calculators and interactive sales aids to drive user engagement in alignment with key acquisition, lead generation and retention strategies.
Manage projects related to website development and maintenance, and evolving functionality across desktop, tablet and mobile channels in alignment with core Digital Marketing and Sales strategies.
Execute testing of various web properties for usability, design, content and functionality
Implement Search Engine Optimization tactics to enhance website performance and drive revenue
Create new tracking and reporting capabilities for digital properties using Google Analytics suite of products.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
Bachelor degree or College diploma in Business/Marketing/Technology
4+ years of digital marketing and corporate web design experience
Solid understanding of responsive design framework
Knowledge of internet technologies, usability, accessibility, privacy and rich media; with currency in emerging technologies and platforms
Experience with Digital Marketing Campaigns and user digital journeys (executing, monitoring and reporting)
Experience with digital analytics and GA4, including page tagging (experience with Google Tag Manager is ideal) and dashboard creation (experience with Quicksight is ideal
Experience in testing various web properties for usability, design, content and functionality
Experience with financial services industry, including previous experience with technology development
Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills
Proven project and vendor management experience
Nice to have:
Technical skills, including: JavaScript, HTML 5 & CSS, design applications, server side includes/dynamic page development, databases/data integration & APIs, best practices for web development, and experience with FTP for file transfers
Financial services experience with a solid portfolio of successful projects involving TSX / Fortune 500 Companies
