You will have the opportunity to learn and participate to the design of these projects.   • Create detailed CAD, Microstation, and/or Revit drawings for electrical power distribution system designs including single line diagrams, site plan power layouts, lighting layouts, electrical protection, emergency power generation, power distribution layouts, electrical switchgear & MCC layouts, motor controls, communications systems, automation and related instrument control systems, process and instrumentation diagrams, and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) control panel layouts and loop diagrams
  • Coordinate design drawings with representatives of other disciplines involved
  • Provide technical support to the Electrical Engineering team.
  • Review equipment shop drawings against contract specifications and drawings for projects currently under construction
  • Occasionally participate in field surveys and site inspections

Qualifications

  • Co-op student currently enrolled in Electrical or Energy Systems Engineering Technology
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Experience or knowledge with AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or Revit MEP is an asset
  • Good communication and writing skills
  • A valid Ontario driver’s license
  • Access to a vehicle

The salary for this position ranges from $20.00 to $23.00 per hour, depending on your academic profile, the number of credits earned, and your previous co-op or internship experience.
