Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM Mississauga is hiring a Senior Technical Manager, Transit & Rail to lead design teams on Metrolinx’ On Corridor Works, the largest capital infrastructure project in the Ontario’s GO Rail Expansion program.On Corridor Works include all work to facilitate train service, including track, civil infrastructure, signalling, electrification infrastructure and electric vehicles, as well as the operations and maintenance of the GO rail network. GO Rail Expansion will transform the transportation network in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area by delivering two-way, all-day service every 15 minutes over core segments of the GO Rail network. System-wide infrastructure upgrades are planned to include: adding tracks, expanding stations, electrification of the rail network, new locomotives and train control systems to enable more frequent service.The successful candidate will lead multi-disciplinary track design teams for multiple projects. Beyond the On Corridor Works project, the successful candidate will have opportunities to lead designs on a variety of freight, passenger and commuter rail projects across Canada.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing leadership and acting as rail engineering subject matter expert in the transit and rail team in line with international best practice.
  • Establishing long lasting relationships and acting as trusted advisor to clients during project execution.
  • Planning and managing track design projects to ensure that all contractual commitments are met on time and within budget.
  • Identifying the necessary resources required for the execution of rail projects through the project delivery cycle.
  • Developing project scope, identifying deliverables, and preparing work plans, schedules and budgets for all project stages while performing monitoring and control for the duration of the project.
  • Lead and attend regular coordination meetings internal to the project team as well as client facing meetings.
  • Implementing AECOM’s Quality Management System methodology and project management processes.
  • Recommending improvements to technical design processes and ensuring consistent application across design teams.
  • Participating in monthly project reviews to review project status, budget, work plan, schedule, and risks.
  • Act as a mentor to junior and intermediate track engineers.
  • Enroll and obtain the MAP (Managing AECOM Projects) Certification.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering + 10 years of relevant experience in delivery of rail and transit projects.
  • Professional Engineering designation
  • Driver’s License

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in public rail and transit.

Job description: Investment Analyst InternSeeking a hardworking undergraduate or recent graduate passionate about investing across in equities and/or fixed income, commodities and bonds. You may get involved in conducting research to support the development of investment strategies and evaluate potential investment opportunities.This is a good opportunity for undergraduates, graduates as well as working professionals who want to change industries.   • Building, reviewing and updating financial models
  • Comparing the theoretical valuation to the market price of the equity to determine whether shares are rated as Buy, Sell or Hold
  • Financial modelling, and writing research notes
  • Modeling sophisticated financial instruments
  • Researching macroeconomic themes
  • Creating visualizations and dashboard views using various data sets

Qualifications and Skills
