The incumbent is responsible for building long-term business plans and driving short-term sales growth in National Retail. The NAM role will be involved in all product categories within the MX division including Mobile Phones, Tablets, Power Accessories, Device Protection, Wearables, and Laptops. The incumbent will engage customers in order to grow relationships, and achieve revenue, profit and market share targets. The incumbent must also have a strong understanding of Retail, E-commerce and Distribution models including building promotional & marketing plans, analyzing performance metrics and managing forecasting & supply chain solutions. The incumbent is the key point of contact for all account activity including all internal connections with Supply Chain, Marketing and Finance.Role and ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales growth for assigned accounts and product lines as well as explore and secure channel expansion with new account growth opportunities
- Develop and execute tactical plans, manage budgets, forecasts, promotional planning and pricing. Key point of contact for all account activity including cross collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Product Management, SCM, Marketing & Finance
- Engaging various stakeholders in partner accounts from buyers to Senior Executives in order to grow relationships, execute product assortment & promotions to achieve revenue, profit and market share targets
- Manage product assortment by presenting new and current offerings for expansion, securing pricing & negotiating programs, completing SKU setups and managing product pages
- Collaborate with internal & external supply chain teams weekly to maintain proper forecast management by SKU, securing POs and ensuring on time product delivery
- Collaborate with internal marketing team to plan, develop and optimize advertising strategies to increase marketing KPIs, as well as campaign analysis to maximize sales during peak/non-peak periods in a promotional calendar
- Leverage sales analytics and account feedback to drive improve promotional planning with product management team
- Collaborate with all accounts on joint business planning, brand management, online & in store merchandising and retail sales execution
- Manage budgets & annual contract negotiations to maximize account performance & ROI
- Analyze sales performance by product line/SKU regularly & prepare reporting/presentations utilizing Samsung KPI’s
Travel Requirements:
- Expected travel as required to attend customer meetings and fulfill role
Skills and QualificationsEducation:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of National Retail, Distribution & E-commerce landscapes
- Strong analytical skills leveraging data sources to develop a product sales strategy
- Strong verbal, written communication & presentation skills
- Proficient in MS Office
Competencies:
- Experience working with National Retailers and/or Distributors is an asset
- Proven selling capability & ability to handle tough negotiations with key executives
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in analyzing sales data, market trends & provide accurate forecasting insight
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to interact comfortably with a wide range of levels in organizations: from senior executives to support staff within and outside of the company
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Must be highly self-motivated and capable of self-directed work given only broad objectives and limited direct supervision
- Must be capable of planning, organizing and prioritizing multiple simultaneous projects and assignments
Experience:
- 5 to 7 years of Business/ Account Management experience required or relevant sales/forecasting experience
