What you’ll do

    • Develop the right digital marketing strategy using performance data and customer insights that ladder up to our organizational key results.
    • Manage digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels for a new product (Marketplace)
    • Work with the business marketing team to ensure appropriate reporting and translation of results for important business stakeholders
    • Work with vendors (existing and new) on new opportunities to support the marketplace goals
    • Present results and proposed strategies to key stakeholders on each of our lines of businesses.
    • Work closely with the business line to learn the business as well as be proactive in changing strategies based on the changing business context
    • A positive influence who contributes well to the demand generation team to elevate our skills, understanding as well as ways of working

Does this sound like you?

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Business, Marketing).
    • 4+ years of experience in a digital marketing role in either an agency, partner, or in-house.
    • Strong expertise across multiple digital marketing channels (search, display, social).
    • Experience working in performance driven companies where the final goal was sales and revenue that could be attributed back to the marketing tactic
    • Experience using web analytics Adobe Omniture and Google Analytics (is an asset)
    • An analytical thinker with an ability to effectively turn reporting and analysis into actionable insights and execution plans.
    • Ability to develop and present a POV and implications based on data, and present findings to key stakeholders.
    • Collaborative and positive attitude with passion for questioning assumptions and answering questions with data in order to unlock value for the enterprise.
    • Self-directed, proactive and able to define and execute projects independently.
    • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
    • Strong communications skills.
    • Strong in Excel and reporting automation / experience is an asset.

Job description: Our Telecom client in North York is looking for a Junior Marketing Specialist to manage campaign processes and launch marketing campaigns

Duration: 1 year
Location: North York (WFH right now but the expectation would be 2-3 days in the office starting Sept – Dec roughly)

Role: You will be managing the campaign process – giving ideas, getting buy in from the team on your ideas then working across departments to launch the campaign. You will work with the Marketing Communications team who then works with an external Agency who builds the actual creative. The campaigns will help increase video on demand revenue. This will include deciding which customers to target, which types of movies or pay-per-view events to promote to the customer and to encourage more customers to enter the video on demand storefront.

The ideal candidate is someone who is a recent graduate or has had 1-2 years of marketing experience (intern or coop is okay) who is curious to learn about the telecommunication industry and has a drive to develop their marketing skillset

The Base Marketing Team develops strategy and manages the implementation of marketing campaigns to deliver against revenue and subscriber targets for the Internet, Home Phone and Television portfolios, including their hero product – Fibe TV.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be accountable for the following:

  • Develop, recommend and implement new marketing strategies to attain and exceed subscriber revenue objectives
  • Create compelling and strategic marketing presentations to obtain buy-in and alignment across key campaign stakeholders
  • Campaign Ideation & management: Interpret marketing and customer data to identify opportunities to grow video on demand penetration and drive revenue
  • Contribute to Merchandising strategy to meet business goals including themes, communications and promotions
  • Define measures of success and track results accordingly, altering approach as needed
  • Monitor, analyze, and report weekly results while and overall performance of the portfolio
  • Manage relationships with studio partners and affiliates to develop partnerships that help achieve take rate targets
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive action from other players in the industry
  • Actively contribute strategically to the overall marketing planning cycle
  • Make recommendations on new processes, and initiatives that benefits the team’s performance and projects

Must Haves

  • University Degree/College Diploma in marketing or business administration
  • 1-2 years of marketing experience (intern or coop is okay)
  • Strong analytical skills in order to be able to interpret data and recommend insight and action to marketing
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

Nice to Have:

SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the Director Marketing, GCX Canada the Group Digital Marketing Manager your mission is to drive digital transformation across the Canadian region aligned with global digital strategy. You will lead the team in the creation of personalized experiences while gathering, enriching, and activating data across all digital media channels. You will develop the digital team across the region in developing in-house capabilities as well as manage external, digital, and social media vendors and agencies. You will be a part of strategic conversations about the most effective ways to deliver our messaging to the online users and identify online mediums that are best served to meet overall marketing objectives and bring to life real change.

You will collaborate closely with Region Leaders, and Business Unit Leadership. You will bring your exceptional analytical skills with a passion for testing and measuring results; distributed team leadership capabilities and growth mindset; and work collaboratively with the global marketing organization and international teams. Other key responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, planning and execution of product and services integrated digital communications strategy
  • Develop and communicate the digital marketing investment strategy and coordinate the evolution of the ad technology platform to deliver on business goals
  • Plan, design and execute digital campaigns to support various businesses goals and objectives
  • Work in conjunction with the Regional Leaders, Product Managers and eCommerce in the development of digital media plans and tactics that will support achieving SBD’s Marketing Objectives for Canada within the context of the global digital strategy
  • Manage continued development of advertising technology to improve audience management, bidding, and targeting strategies
  • Manage external/digital and social media vendors and/or agency coordination efforts
  • Proactive explore and test new campaign types, tactics and strategies to create system of continual optimization and improvement
  • Manage regular reporting and tracking, interpret implications, report metrics appropriately and flag issues regarding all digital platforms (website, social media, etc.) using both internal and external tools
  • Synthesize data to “tell the story” rather than just reporting numbers
  • Review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing
  • Lead the internal digital team in the understanding and utilization of technical platforms that would make more efficient the traffic of materials for social media initiatives
  • Stewardship of digital campaigns and constantly exploring new means of delivery of SBD’s digital message into markets
  • Budget reporting and management, including preparing investment reports for internal clients and producing expenditure updates for digital and social media initiatives
  • Work side by side with regional and local and Ecommerce teams to create synergistic plans focused on optimizing ROAS while building our Brands
  • Continuously evolve and understand the online competitive landscape


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, omnichannel execution; leading digital marketing teams running global campaigns in multiple languages
  • Prior team leadership of functional experts working globally; coaching and developing broader team members throughout Canada
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing executing best practices in all digital functions, including web development, acquisition marketing (email, banner ads, online video, paid search and SEO, etc), and web analytics

    • Google Analytics, Social Bakers, Similar Web
    • Working knowledge of content management systems, product information management systems, and digital assets management platforms
    • Familiarity with mobile marketing and commercialization
  • Referenceable track record of influence across a global company, matrix environment
