Job Description Sage Canada is currently recruiting for a Marketing Manager, Paid Media (Traffic Acquisition Manager) to drive new customer acquisition growth for our cloud-native small business accounting solutions. You will come with a proven track record of results-oriented and data-driven paid media experience and are familiar working within a SaaS/eCommerce focused organization.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of how to plan, execute and measure, multi-channel digital media campaigns that drives new customer acquisition growth. You are comfortable analyzing data, understanding customer insights, and conversion and marketing effectiveness metrics (including ROAS, CAC, and LTV). You have a growth mindset and are willing to take risks and can learn and adapt. You have a strong level of knowledge of all paid and organic media channels, media mix, analytics, optimization, and attribution. You will collaborate and work across multiple stakeholders and departments. This role will report into the Commercial Leader for Canada.

Key Responsibilities Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Plan and execute lead generation and new customer traffic acquisition plans across digital channels (Google Ads, Paid Social, Display & Programmatic).
  • Manage partnership with our Global media agency.
  • Envision and execute the strategy for all traffic-driving channels, including SEM, SEO, Social, Display, Affiliates, as well as identifying, and launching new channels.
  • Perform regular analysis and optimization of campaigns, while working within budgets and maximizing KPIs.
  • Build traffic plans and forecasts including spend budgets, pacing and efficiency updates.
  • Monitor traffic KPIs, and regularly report on channel and campaign performance, and overall marketing effectiveness (including ROAS, CAC, and LTV).
  • Analyze and interpret web traffic trends and patterns to provide insights and actions for campaign optimization.
  • Work closely with the marketing campaign managers, marketing performance & insights team, and other key stakeholders on tracking, reporting, optimization, asset development and awareness campaigns.

Skills, know-how and experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the SaaS digital paid media marketing space with a focus on ecommerce.
  • Experience leading successful paid search and paid social campaigns and reporting on metrics.
  • Has a proven track record of data driven customer growth.
  • Knowledge and experience with conversion metrics, including CPM, CTR, CPC, CPA/CPL
  • Strong experience in performance marketing, comfortable scaling budgets, determining points of diminishing returns and optimising budgets between channels.
  • Strong level of knowledge of all paid and organic media channels, media mix, analytics, optimization, and attribution.
  • Able to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders across various departments, as well as influence when necessary.

    • Develop the right digital marketing strategy using performance data and customer insights that ladder up to our organizational key results.
    • Manage digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels for a new product (Marketplace)
    • Work with the business marketing team to ensure appropriate reporting and translation of results for important business stakeholders
    • Work with vendors (existing and new) on new opportunities to support the marketplace goals
    • Present results and proposed strategies to key stakeholders on each of our lines of businesses.
    • Work closely with the business line to learn the business as well as be proactive in changing strategies based on the changing business context

Does this sound like you?

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Business, Marketing).
    • 4+ years of experience in a digital marketing role in either an agency, partner, or in-house.
    • Strong expertise across multiple digital marketing channels (search, display, social).
    • Experience working in performance driven companies where the final goal was sales and revenue that could be attributed back to the marketing tactic
    • Experience using web analytics Adobe Omniture and Google Analytics (is an asset)
    • An analytical thinker with an ability to effectively turn reporting and analysis into actionable insights and execution plans.
    • Ability to develop and present a POV and implications based on data, and present findings to key stakeholders.
    • Collaborative and positive attitude with passion for questioning assumptions and answering questions with data in order to unlock value for the enterprise.
    • Self-directed, proactive and able to define and execute projects independently.
    • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
    • Strong communications skills.
    • Strong in Excel and reporting automation / experience is an asset.

Job Description

Points is looking for a Senior Manager, Growth Marketing to join our Marketing team for a permanent position, based out of our downtown Toronto office. The Performance Marketing team is responsible for all paid media buying/planning and marketing activity on multiple worldwide Travel Loyalty Partner accounts supporting Points primary products.

You will be working closely with Marketing groups, including Partner Marketing, Data and Analytics, and Brand & Creative teams to maximize worldwide media campaign performance of approximately 20 different Points’ loyalty product clients on their behalf.

In this growth-focused role, you will be responsible for developing advanced media channel and targeting strategies to drive revenue growth and product penetration across all Partner portfolios. You will be responsible for leading a team of media planners in campaign budgeting management & forecasting, media innovation and personalization, campaign execution & optimization, and vendor relationships.

Reporting to the Director of Performance Marketing, the responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ownership of select high-value or strategic Performance Marketing accounts, including media strategy, budgets, targeting and channel execution
  • Evolving the Performance Marketing media practice to always-on media, driving awareness and first-time buyers beyond immediate promotion performance
  • Leading the team with individual Partner development of annual Performance Marketing budget/revenue plans, working with Finance and Growth teams on forecasting and reporting
  • Driving media innovation & implementation of new/enhanced Performance Marketing channels, vendor or Points product opportunities, including budgeting, setup and test & measurement plans.
  • Lead the team in ongoing media optimization activity to regularly increase campaign revenue and improve Performance Marketing campaign budget efficiency. Share key wins and insights across Marketing team and support of a continuous improvement culture
  • Accountability to internal Partner team stakeholders to ensure Performance Marketing team campaigns are delivered on time with high quality, and campaign performance targets are met or exceeded.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Paid and owned digital media planning across multiple digital channels, including display programmatic, social, and video (5+ years)
  • Proven experience leading client media performance to consistently meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets while managing significant budgets
  • Significant Digital Marketing experience including branding, awareness and engagement driving campaigns. Hands-on experience with dynamic creative optimization campaigns is also desired.
  • A strong track record of success leveraging first and third-party data to drive media targeting, engagement and performance
  • Strong leadership and team management ability
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • University or College degree in Business or Marketing preferred

What We Get
