We are currently looking for a student in the Human Resources field for an 8-12 month co-op placement starting on January 6, 2025.This role will Provide administrative support in day-to-day activities within the Human Resources Department. Provides quality customer service for all employees in accordance with the principles of the “Magna’s Employee’s Charter.”Your Responsibilities

  • Provides recruitment support within the Co-op program: reviewing resumes, phone screenings, and interviews
  • Coordination of onboarding for new hires including preparing new hire bags, conducting orientation, and collection of documentation
  • Follows up on requirements to complete the new hire and termination checklists
  • Maintains office supplies by tracking inventory, placing orders and organizing supplies
  • Assists with the coordination of Conversation with Leader meetings, social events & fundraising
  • Updates Emergency Response evacuation lists, training & orientation
  • Assists with the maintenance of department documentation including employee files, ensuring compliance to document control & retention policies
  • Contributes to the development of the monthly department meeting guidelines

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to the EHS Coordinator
  • Assist employees with general requests/questions
  • Maintain available tools for employee communications (HRConnect, Bulletin Boards, MagnaNow TV, MyLife)
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all information obtained, written or verbal, within the Human Resources Department
  • Follows Magna’s Code of Conduct & Ethics and related compliance policies
  • Perform other duties as required
