Reporting to the Head of Influencer, North America this role will support in overseeing a high performing team of Influencer specialists across Canada, supporting the vision of the specialty by overseeing the teams and execution for campaigns in industries that span, Tech, Retail, Beauty, Food and Health.This opportunity requires a passion for influencer content creation, brand story-telling, and industry expertise as well as a background working with digital performance and measurement tools. We are looking for someone who has strong experience managing a team, leading strategy, and managing influencer and social programs with trackable success metrics. This role requires someone who has a very strong understanding of the influencer marketing space at large across the varying sectors noted and can creatively bring solutions forward for accounts and clients on ways in which influencer marketing can help deliver business impact.In this role you’ll work collaboratively with earned, digital, paid media, performance, creative and client strategy as an integrated solution to bring best in class work to life. - Direct support to Head of Influencer Marketing in growing the influencer marketing business in Canada.
- Oversee a team of high-performing influencer specialists across Canada, with minimum of three direct reports
- Work directly with influencer strategists and account teams to develop strategic recommendations for influencer marketing across a variety of sectors including Tech, B2B, Health, Brand and Corporate
- Provide excellent client service to new and existing clients and building trust amongst both internal and external stakeholders as a senior influencer marketing consult.
- Provide guidance and direction to influencer team to ensure seamless execution of programs, supporting the day-to-day review of plans, materials, and execution of influencer campaigns.
- Produce high quality internal and external case studies that help us to highlight the impact of our work and create lead generation for new business.
- Stay up to date with the latest influencer marketing trends including disclosure requirements and performance best practices.
- Coordinate program integration with appropriate specialties including Insight and Analytics, Paid Performance, Creative
- Overseeing multiple influencer projects ensuring deadline, reporting and budget adherence
- Provide senior guidance and direction for influencer execution best practice across every stage of a program including influencer strategy and planning, identification, contracting and negotiations, ongoing management, and reporting.
- Support in the socialization of our influencer offering to new and existing clients with established targets for new and organic business growth.
- Foster and maintain a working environment of inclusivity and respect.
- Demonstrate a thoughtful approach in challenging clients and internal stake holders to ask questions and evolve ways of working.
Basic Qualifications
- 9+ years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing
- 6 – 7 years of experience in digital, social and/or public relations
- Strong agency experience is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years within Influencer marketing with strong understanding of the full influencer marketing landscape, processes, strategies, content planning, contracting/negotiations, paid promotion, and reporting.
- Experience with people management/supervision a must
Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
- Experience developing integrated campaign strategies.
- Strong understanding of results-driven influencer work and bottom funnel tactics including affiliate marketing through influencers
- Bilingual in EN and FR is a bonus but not mandatory.
- Proven ability to lead and manage multiple media to large-sized projects simultaneously that include digital content development.
- Clear understanding of the influencer marketing landscape, importance and role of influencer marketing, best practices
- Demonstrated ability to help develop Influencer plans.
- Able to perform well under pressure within a large internal and client matrix.
- Strong research, writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to interact with clients professionally and maintain relationships with influencers and content creators.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of internal contacts (junior staff, peers, and senior staff), demonstrating a consistently high level of verbal and written communications.
