Digital Marketing Specialist – 1 Position

Reporting to the Director Digital Media, the Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, optimizing, implementing and analyzing all SEO and paid search engine marketing activities, including: Google AdWords and Bing PPC marketing platforms, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and being on the forefront of new search technologies. This role is also involved in as programming eblasts, landing pages and managing domains for various clients. The ideal candidate must possess a solid understanding of all facets of paid search, SEM, SEO and be extremely driven by digital analytics and the analysis that fuels optimization. You also posses the ability to operate on both a strategic and tactical level, touching all aspects of the search marketing roadmap including keyword management, content creation, bidding strategies, creative testing, and integration with social media. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the day-to-day search marketing activities for multiple clients across various search engines (Google, Bing/Yahoo) including campaign planning, implementation, budget management, performance review, and optimization of paid search campaigns
  • Manage bids and campaign budgets on a daily basis to meet/exceed client KPIs
  • Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing
  • Stay current on SEM/SEO tools, social media, and digital best practices and communicate them to internal teams
  • Execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns

  • Manage PPC campaign expenses for multiple clients, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs, and reconciling discrepancies
  • Work with the digital team to facilitate the growth of paid search accounts and ensure that the expectations of the clients are met
  • Develop and organize keywords into a strategic campaign structure that puts client ads in front of highly relevant online searchers
  • Communicate key findings from reports and report on data analyses to the digital team and account managers on a regular basis
  • Research and analyze competitor advertising links
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords

Web/Interactive Programming:

  • Create conversion focused landing pages and track results
  • Managing website content and making updates

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years related experience in digital environment, preferably within an agency
  • Proven SEM experience managing PPC campaigns across Google, Yahoo, and Bing using Google Adwords, GDN and WordStream
  • Working knowledge of WordPress and PHP
  • Excellent understanding of HTML, CSS & Javascript
  • Knowledge in setting up/manipulating MySQL Databases

Our team has developed digital branding strategies for a number of major organizations in various sectors, ranging from Fortune 500 real estate developers and international airlines, to e-commerce food brands and music industry executives.

We are currently looking for creators to join our Content Creation team for a 3 month period, with an opportunity to extend their contract following a successful trial period. Ideal candidates have a strong track record of leadership, create content for their own personal social media channels, are very comfortable speaking on-camera and are interested in brand development.

From Day 1 as a content creator with Xrozs Group, you will join a diverse marketing program that is designed to help you develop the leadership and creative skills needed to become a future social media marketing leader.

You will:

  • Create short-form videos for TikTok and Instagram reels that tell a story in a concise manner.
  • Host social media live streaming events.
  • Learn how to adapt current social media trends in order to uniquely showcase niche brands.
  • Analyze and form creative connections between varied data sources to identify trends in your Brand, and present recommendations based on your learnings.
  • Learn from talented leaders from both brand management and other functions to develop skills to become a future business leader.
  • Research viral trends, trending news, and culturally relevant events.

  • You have a TikTok account where you regularly post content.
  • You are very comfortable speaking on camera.
  • You are familiar with creating videos directly on the TikTok app and
  • You have a demonstrated track record of initiative, innovation, and creativity.
  • You have strong communication skills that will enable you to thrive in difficult situations.
  • You are comfortable working independently.

As Coordinator, In-Game Social Media, you will help drive conversation across social media during NHL game action by posting the best highlights/photos/GIFs/etc., sparking conversation through keen observation and building content through real-time storylines.

You will act as a primary publisher to the NHL’s social channels and engage fans with sharp & creative copywriting. You’ll also play a vital role in the creation and production of content to be distributed across our platforms.

The individual we’re seeking should be self-motivated and enthusiastic, with the unique ability to manage & prioritize a high volume of projects & tasks simultaneously. They must possess outstanding writing skills and have excellent attention to detail. The right candidate will have extensive experience as a copywriter, working knowledge of photo and video editing tools, and expertise on all things NHL.

Nights, weekends & holidays are required based around the NHL game schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write creative copy and publish content to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and more.
  • Ensure that all copy and published assets are grammatically correct and factually accurate
  • Drive conversation across social platforms by engaging with fans, teams, players, partners & more
  • Co-develop the NHL’s social persona and voice that fans come to associate with the League
  • Work closely with supervisor and greater social media team in the planning and development of social content
  • Collaborate regularly with internal and external stakeholders including the NHL.com editorial team, NHL PR, NHL clubs, broadcast partners and more on distribution strategy
  • Apply data and insights into publishing strategy and content development
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2 years’ experience in social media and/or content creation, preferably for a sports brand
  • Outstanding writing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Organized with the ability to constantly reprioritize tasks
  • Passion for hockey and extensive knowledge of the NHL, its teams, players, history, rules, etc.
  • Deep understanding of the ever-evolving social landscape
  • Applies an entrepreneurial approach to their work
  • Experience with Photoshop and Premiere a big plus
  • Possesses a positive and upbeat attitude towards their job

EDUCATION
Successful completion of post-secondary education – college / university level.

Layfield is looking to add an experienced Marketing Specialist to help develop, execute, and monitor marketing programs across various distribution channels. Responsibilities include conducting market research, generating appropriate media, and developing strategic marketing plans.

This position will report to the Vice President of Technical Services. The position will be based out of our Edmonton, Alberta office.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Management:

  • Support Technical Product Management (TPM) Group with overall Product Development activities as required.
  • Develop product variety and bundling strategies
  • Develop appropriate branding strategies.
  • Conduct market research activities to find answers about industry/consumer requirements, habits and trends.
  • Support TPM group with analyzing market conditions and competitive products for opportunities.
